- First edition. Rostand, Edmond: Cyrano de Bergerac.
Hutchinson & Co, no date. Circa 1930. A translation by Humbert Wolfe.
A translation by Humbert Wolfe from about 1930, with a preface
by him telling how this version was penned at the instigation of Alexander
Korda, London Films, with a view to filming a production starring Charles
Laughton.
Charles Laughton collaborated in the creative process of the
translation but sadly, the film was never made, it seems that it was decided
that the subject was above film goers.
