Hello again - hope you're enjoying the sunshine. A bit to discuss, but what we've got is quite important. Linda Street Round 2 You should now all have the details of the 10-pin bowling in Leeds in 2 weeks - it goes without saying that your attendance is very much required. This is going to be a good'un (as long as you make it so). See you there. Calling Cards One of the best ideas I've seen recently comes from Northwich Group. They have double-sided calling cards which are sent out with Group posters to all libraries within their catchment area twice a year. Does it work? How does 2 PNMs a month sound? We've been able to arrange a deal with the printing firm to get them at a very good rate. How to use them - you could go along the library route, or place them under car windscreen wipers, or in newsagents windows; your only limit is imagination AND REMEMBER Groups that get (and retain) a lot of new members qualify for a cash reward from National - get in there, you'd be ad to turn this down! Events I want to have a more complete event diary for 2003 ready by the end of next month; if you have ANY ideas for events we can put on, let Howard and myself know and we can action them for inclusion. Remember though, events depend on people for success - the more you come to, the more we can justify putting on. National Holidays If you're thinking of getting involved in either the Narrowboat Holiday and/or the Greek Week, you need to get those deposits to me ASAP - once they're gone, they're gone! Karting If you want to book spots for the Northern Karting, you need to get your skates on - we need the ?32.50 by September 14th. So far, we have the grand sum of NO-ONE interested. You can't wait much longer! And that just about does it - see you around Mark Randall (Nprthern Area Chairman and proud of it) |
